The Kansas State women ended preseason competition on a high note, handling Tarleton State 78-57 in the Wildcats’ second exhibition game. K-State also played at Minnesota earlier this month, falling 73-61.

“We were super vanilla tonight,” head coach Jeff Mittie said in a statement. “I mean, we did what we did, but we rebounded better, so we had more of an open floor than we had in the closed scrimmage (versus Minnesota), and that was a big key for us.”

It was all Izela Arenas through the start of the game. The Louisville transfer and daughter of NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas scored K-State’s first 11 points, including starting the game 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
