Former Cats Coach Weber To Do Studio Work for Big Ten Network
Former Kansas State men’s basketball coach Bruce Weber will not return to the sideline this fall, instead turning his attention to analyzing games in a TV studio.
Weber has signed on with the Big Ten Network for the soon-to-be started college basketball season, months after leaving his post at K-State.
Weber coached the Wildcats for ten seasons, including winning two Big 12 titles, but left the bench following K-State’s elimination from the Big 12 Tournament earlier this spring. The Cats finished 14-17 under Weber in 2021-22, their third straight losing season.
He previously had coached Illinois to a national title game appearance, part of a nine-year tenure in Champaign.
The former a former Naismith Coach of the Year recipient won 497 games in his career, two Big Ten titles, two Big 12 titles and two Missouri Valley Conference titles during his time as a head coach.
Weber ranks third on K-State’s all-time total wins list behind Jack Hartman and Tex Winter.
