For the 108th time, its wheat versus corn on Saturday as the No. 24 Kansas State Wildcats travel to Ames, Iowa, to take on No. 18 Iowa State in the annual Farmaggedon game.

K-State and Iowa State have played every year since 1917. Farmaggedon is the 19th-oldest rivalry in FBS football and Iowa State leads the all-time series 53-50-4 with K-State being 17-7 since 2000.

Cyclone head coach Matt Campbell is in his ninth year as the head coach with a record of 62-50. They are 9-2 on the season and are looking to win 10 games for the first time in program history. Both teams come into the weekend still alive make the Big 12 Championship game, although K-State is more of a longshot.

By Tim Everson

Saturday was an offensive rejuvenation for Kansas State in almost every phase of Kansas State’s 41-15 win over Cincinnati.

In a sport like football where there are so many moving pieces at any one time, it’s impossible to say that only one decision made the difference between the Wildcats flailing on offense like they’ve done for the past month or soaring like they did Saturday night.

However, a slight coaching change may have been the spark that reignited the Wildcat offense Saturday evening.
