K-State flattened at home by Oklahoma State 66-28

All of Kansas State’s season-long struggles coalesced into one of the worst performances in recent memory on Saturday, as the Wildcats were destroyed 66-28 by Oklahoma State at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
K-State’s offense sputtered, the defense collapsed, and special teams couldn’t find a way to make a difference as the Wildcats suffered a lopsided loss that spun out of control early in the game.
Prior to Saturday, the most the Cowboys had scored in Manhattan was 45 points, which they had done three times prior. That number was eclipsed before the final whistle blew in the first half.
It’s the most points allowed by the K-State defense since a 69-31 loss at home to Texas in 2020. Excluding the 2020 COVID-19 season, it’s the most points allowed since a 66-14 loss at Texas Tech in 2009.
It’s also the first time K-State has allowed 60 or more points at home (excluding the COVID season) since a 61-21 loss to Missouri in 1984, and the most points allowed since a 75-28 loss to Oklahoma in 1971.
