K-State baseball tops Utah in Big 12 tournament opener

Four Wildcats produced multi-hit performances Tuesday night as 11th-seeded Kansas State baseball rallied past 10th-seeded Utah, 9-5, to open the 2026 Big 12 Baseball Championship at Surprise Stadium.

Trailing 3-0, AJ Evasco delivered a two-run blast to trim the deficit in the sixth, before K-State (29-26) took the lead in the next inning. Utah (26-25) answered and tied the game at 5-5, but the Wildcats scored four unanswered runs in the eighth to pull away with the win.
