K-State powers past Colorado to reach bowl eligibility

A strong second half sent Kansas State out of the regular season on a high note Saturday, as the Wildcats fought past Colorado for a 24-14 win.

Led by another three-touchdown day from Joe Jackson, K-State (6-6, 5-4 Big 12) wrapped up the regular season with six wins, which clinched a bowl berth for the fifth straight season.

How it happened

Kansas State struck right out of the gate, orchestrating a 13-play, 74-yard drive that ended with a four-yard Joe Jackson touchdown.

The drive featured two third-down conversions and one on fourth down. K-State kept the drive alive with an 11-yard pass to Jaron Tibbs and a 27-yard run by Jackson on third down, and a nine-yard pass to Loftin on fourth down set up K-State’s touchdown a play later.
